The answers, before you give us anything.
A place you write honest things down only works if you know exactly who can reach them. Nine questions answered without hedging, then the four things we deliberately will not claim.
Does my employer see what I write?
No. If your workplace uses Haven for Teams, the only thing the team ever sees is the set of working agreements the team wrote together. No entry, mood, search, resource or appointment note belongs to that — and neither does the fact that you opened Magnolia Haven at all.
There is no dashboard, no usage report and no participation figure. The account is yours, not your employer's, and it survives you leaving the job.
What if someone else set my account up?
They still cannot see inside it, and this is structural rather than a policy promise. Whoever arranged your access hands Haven a short-lived invitation and nothing else — no health data, no history. Once you have used it, the link between that invitation and whoever issued it is minimized or deleted.
What they get back is that the invitation was used. Not by whom, not for what, and never anything you wrote.
Is Muse reading my private entries?
Muse reads your entries, because remembering them is the whole point — it is how it can tell you in six weeks that this is the third stretch like this. What it will not do is use them to train a general model, or show them to anyone.
If that ever changes, it changes with a new and separate permission that you grant, not with an updated policy document.
Do you sell health data?
No. We do not sell it, rent it, share it for anyone else's advertising, or build audience segments out of it.
Are advertising pixels in the app?
No third-party advertising pixel, retargeting SDK or session-replay tool runs on a signed-in Magnolia Haven surface. This is enforced as an architectural rule with an automated test, not as a guideline: a deliberately planted prohibited tag fails the build.
The public marketing site measures ordinary acquisition with first-party analytics. Once you enter a private Haven workspace, that activity is a separate telemetry domain that does not flow to any advertising system.
How do I delete my information?
From your account, at any time, without asking anyone. Deletion is shown as a list of exactly what goes and exactly what is retained and why — billing records, for example, have their own legal retention period and we will say so rather than implying a clean sweep.
You can also export everything first. Deletion is scoped to Magnolia Haven and we will not imply it reaches other products.
What happens in a crisis?
Muse stops generating conversational suggestions and switches to a curated pathway: the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call, text or chat, 24/7 in the United States), emergency services, and specialized lines including domestic violence support, with jurisdiction taken into account.
Crisis and safety information is free, works without an account, and is never placed behind a paywall.
Is Muse a therapist?
No. Muse is a companion for reflection, not a therapist, doctor or emergency service. It sits alongside whatever care you already have — which is also the position professional bodies take on tools like this.
It will not diagnose you, interpret symptoms, or handle an emergency. Where something needs a licensed professional, its job is to say so plainly and help you find one.
Can my information be used to recruit me for something?
No. Magnolia Haven does not use anything you write here to decide whether you should be approached about work, content or any other opportunity.
Nobody — not an employer, not a partner organisation, not us — can use anything you do here as a reason to approach you. There is no path, commercial or technical or accidental, from what you write in Magnolia Haven into anyone's decision about what to offer you.
The separation model
One yes is one yes.
Every permission here is for one thing only, and none of them quietly widens into another.
Using Haven through your workplace does not let your workplace read it. Accepting a therapist referral does not sign you up for marketing. Opening a sexual-health page does not make that visible to anybody. Joining a team agreement does not put your journal in it.
It never becomes an unlimited yes.
What a team can and cannot see

- The working agreements it wrote together, and nothing that was not written into them on purpose.

- Any entry, mood, sleep note, search, resource, referral or appointment note belonging to a person.
- No participation data
- Not who joined, not who opened it this week, not how often. There is no such report to run.
- Your account is yours
- Under your own credentials, and it stays with you when you leave.
- Invitations expire
- Whoever arranged your access learns only that the invitation was used, then the link to them is removed.
What does not exist
There is no data path from anything you do in Magnolia Haven into a hiring, staffing, scheduling, promotion, casting or employment decision. Not a feed, not an export, not a report, and not a manual request somebody at Magnolia could fulfil if asked.

Where the information comes from.
Anything here that touches health, care or your rights is tied to a named source with a date and a jurisdiction. When a source has not been re-checked, the content comes down rather than staying up with a disclaimer.
Care, coverage and rights information all depend on where you are and on details we do not have. We will tell you what generally applies and where to check it. We will not tell you what you have, what you are entitled to, or what to do about it — that distinction is the difference between useful and reckless.

We do not claim to be HIPAA compliant
Whether HIPAA applies depends on the actual role and relationships involved, and using it as a generic trust badge is a signal to look more carefully, not less. We describe what we actually do with your data instead.
We do not claim to see anything coming
Muse can tell you that three low stretches this spring followed a short night. It cannot tell you that a fourth one is coming, and a product that implied otherwise would be selling you a forecast it does not have.
We do not claim clinical outcomes
No symptom-reduction figures, no efficacy claims, nothing “clinically proven.” Writing things down helps you see your own patterns; that is a real benefit and it is a different claim from treatment. If we ever run studies they will be separately consented and published with their methods.
We do not claim to verify anyone
Magnolia Haven does not certify, clear or vouch for any person to any third party. It holds no work-clearance status and issues no credentials.
